Avant-garde artist Salvador Dali even hand-painted a Vespa, and you can't get much more hip than that. As a result, surviving examples of early models are few, especially in the U.S., which didn't officially import Vespas until 1955. This Faro Basso Bacchetta was restored to be as faithful to original specification as possible. Early Vespas did not yet have shocks on the front fork, but this scooter is equipped with an accessory friction damper, period correct and a useful upgrade that improves ride and handling.
