If your scooter is running great and just needs routine maintenance (ex: fluids, tires, drive belt) please call to schedule an appointment and we can do the service while you wait. If your scooter is in need of repairs, please bring it in during regular business hours. Scooters are accepted only during business hours so please do not leave your scooter outside our building after store hours. If you experience a problem regarding our repairs on your scooter, please bring it back within 30 days so we can make it right. Vehicles that are not picked up upon completion after 3 business days will be charged storage fees of $10/day unless arrangements are made with management.

One potential problem is the CVT casing cracking around the base of the starter shaft (where the kickstart lever meets the case). Not a big deal as the cases can be replaced, but you might want to check it out. Due to the age of the scooter you should plan on replacing the drive belt, not too expensive (you can call a shop to get an estimate).

I assume you have a motorcycle endorsement on your license? I would ask what the maintenance history is as you may have to do some replacement of the rubber stuff like the belt. Also look at the date code on the tires as you may need to replace those right away. Not sure what your market for scooters is like but you may want to try offering $800 cash especially if you need new tires.

Looking at the cam gear from the left side of the bike, you may be able to see one or both of the timing marks. The correct clearances are:Intake (upper valve): 0.004in (0.10mm)Exhaust (lower valve): 0.006in (0.15mm)Valve Lash Tutorial:With a screwdriver in the adjustment screw slot, loosen the lock nut.
