Nowadays, nutrition therapy in ICUs is very important as nutritional support represents the quality of care for these patients. Unfortunately, malnutrition is common among ICU patients and the incidence of malnutrition has been reported to be 40%–100% in hospitalized patients in ICU [ 7 ]. Feeding, especially enteral feeding, plays an important role to improve immunity, reduce malnutrition and deal with infections among ICU patients. Along with other support processes, nutritional investigations should be used to monitor the patient and evaluate the needs to develop an appropriate nutritional care plan. This checklist had 4 sections including demographic information, nutritional status, physical examination and biochemical values.
