PT Piaggio Indonesia (PID) beberapa kali meluncurkan Vespa edisi khusus dan terbatas di Indonesia. Tak lama setelah keterangan 'sold out' diumumkan pabrikan, Vespa edisi khusus tersebut biasanya langsung muncul di sejumlah lapak jual-beli kendaraan daring. Misalnya, saat PID merilis Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon di Indonesia, mereka 'hanya' membanderolnya Rp 85 juta dengan status on the road Jakarta. "Aku yakin, untuk versi limited edition, itu bukan hanya Vespa (yang harganya digoreng) tapi merek lain juga," kata dia.
