Keep in mind gas was $4 a gallon then and scooters were worth their weight in gold in metro areas. He didn't even want to test ride it, he just wanted help loading it into the back of his SUV.

its the P style body, formerly referred to as the P-2-common -the modern bike when I started riding-Fantastic bike, revv it all day long wide open throttle, hard to kill. Worth about $2500 in perfect shape. Sure its more powerful and fast, but the 125 has a peppy gearbox and can go up hills all day long. I put the DR177 kit with a Sito and 22mm carb and it is faster than a stock 200. thanks for the info. i knew all about the 200, but the 125 was new to me, i figured it was a europe only bike.
SoldThis is a 1979 PX125 Vespa that has the Malossi 166 bore kit,This starts on the 1st or 2nd kick, runs very smooth and shifts very nice, and needs nothing has newer street tires. Cruises at 55mph, if you tuck down you can get close to 60mph, it has oil injection and it does work.
