Sprint 68 front suspension upgrade

Post by Ilan onHi all,After a few years in the garage, I started riding my sprint 68 again. The front suspension is mmm, how to put it, BAD. The spring and damping element look original, and I assume they need replacement. Any of you guys upgraded their suspension and can share what they did, what they bought and if it did make a significant change in rideability ? Thanks, Ilan.

Unless we know what engine and what head is on your bike it's gonna be pretty hard to make a definitive recommendation. I can tell you that the spark plug was old, and was a dog getting it out. Doesn't sound like a recent rebuild.

Vespa Sprint Body Refurbish Vintage Vespa Forum Two Stroke Smoke

This will be my final post with regard to restoring the body of this classic Vespa. The only remaining piece that needed some TLC was the left hand rear cover...the one normally used for storage. The original cover was badly corroded where the lower section contacts the frame and was also missing one of the brackets that secures it to the body. I had another cover at hand that had been badly repaired ruining the aesthetics of the side face pressings but it had a good floor section. Overall the repairs took just over 5 hours to complete.Edited 1 time(s).
