A 1975 Super 'should' have the later casing, which would be 3 port but with a 2 port cylinder. Both the Super and the Veloce are pretty slow, but the Super seems quicker around town due to the 8" wheels. An optional change to 10" wheels would give you a useful upgear for the extra power of a 177/190 kit. The saving in purchase price would need to be worth it, because the Veloce is a little more desirable.
General InformationThe Vespa Super was successor to the venerable Vespa 125 and 150 VNA/VBB. On the right side of the legshield, there were two that said "Vespa" and "Super" in cursive script. This headset sported a new smaller speedometer that was also used on the Vespa 125 Smallframe, and became the standard Vespa speedometer on all models until the introduction of the P-series. All Vespa Supers imported to the U.S. after 1973 had turn signals fitted as standard equipment in order to satisfy American regulations. However other Vespa models did just about everything better.

I am starting a total restore on a 1975 Vespa Super 150 VBC1T. The frame is currently in for welding/patching and I have a good list of mechanical parts required, but i have found some general confusion around whats required for a non-battery 12v electronic ignition conversion. Assuming i have nothing reusable from the original purchased parts and require new following;wiring loom (would a stock 6v loom run the 12v system?) i've seen some "kits" with a lot bundled in, but i have some worry about ordering wrong.

It is without question that the Piaggio-built Vespa helped mobilize the whole of Italy upon its introduction in April 1946. The Vespa was purchased off the Manufacturer’s Statement of Origin and has never been registered for road use.

This 1976 Vespa Super 150 was acquired by the seller in 2022 and subsequently refurbished in a project that included powder-coating the bodywork in blue and overhauling the 145cc two-stroke single. This Sprint 150 is now offered at no reserve with a clean California title in the seller’s name. Bodywork repairs were carried out under current ownership, after which the scooter was powder-coated Ocean blue and then clear-coated. The air-cooled 145cc two-stroke single is said to have been overhauled under current ownership with a replacement crank, top end, bearings, and seals.
