74 Vespa SuperI recently sold the 74 Super and am now rocking a 79 P200 VespaI've owned a 74 Vespa Super for about a year now and racked up over 2,000 miles on it. 2 Stroke OilUse Motul 710 (Blue/Green in color) to fill the 2 stroke oil tank since the 74 Vespa Super uses an oil injector rather than premix. Do not use Motul 800 (Orange/Brown in color) This is for bikes where you are mixing 2 stroke oil into the gas tank. Cylinder Head Installation/RemovalIf you are ever removing or installing the cylinder head it is very important to remove/torque the nuts in the proper order or you can actually damage the cylinder head. If you are installing the cylinder head use a torque wrench to get everything equally torqued to the proper spec.

I found a couple of places that sell wire by the foot in all the colors, and the tubing is PVC that you can buy from McMaster carr. https://ceautoelectricsupply/individual-components/automotive-primary-wire/The connectors and tools for those were a kt I bought on Amazon, but worked well. You need a few sizes of this for parts of it.I got the wire from here.
You do need a timing light etc to check timing. If it was running ok when you got it, and then started backfiring, will probably be ok. When you take flywheel off to do points condensor, check the woodruff key, as if this gone or bad, there will be no timing at all.
