I have a new horn cast light installed on my GT, and if I could also install the knee pad outlet, it would be sweet. Where did you get the "Y" adapter? Is there a down side to using a "Y" adapter to power both the horn cast light AND the power outlet? The knee pad utility adapter has two wires coming out of it with an inline fuse. The picture only shows one wire, I don't know why, There are in fact two wires.

Sorry for the gross picture-I hope it doesn't "bug" you, but this was me cleaning it after my Iron Butt ride a few weeks ago. I have the Piaggio rear folding rack. I went back and added the Faco front folding rack as well as Faco dual windshield.
