You’re riding the new Vespa S 125 and its stunning red paint glistens in the sunlight. The Vespa S 125 is a straight up fantastic scooter. Either I’m losing it or the Vespa S really is significantly nicer to ride than the equivalent LX. If you ignore the high entry price, the Vespa S 125 is definitely one of the best 125cc scooters on the market, simple as that. The Vespa S 125 is nearly twice the price of some high-quality 125cc bikes.
I did however notice a decrease in my top speed due to the belt wearing a groove in the variator after riding 10000 miles. My commute consists of 20 miles on a 70 mph dual carriageway at WOT and 10 miles of city traffic each way. Would it be safe to there's not a lot I can do engine wise to give me a few more horses? I just got used to it.My engine is the same as yours 2 valves instead of the 3 valve head. Do I still wish I spent probably the best part of £1500 tuning the 125 so it could do a good 70mph and ride it like a nutter?

Garage told me i need a CM153205 KEIHIN2700 carburetor but those are 400 EUR new (i have a quote for 600 EUR total ...) so i'm trying to find an old one in a Vespa LX/FLY/LIBERTY 125 but there are so many references i'm not sure which ones can be used in my 2008 VESPA S 125 ? My actual carburetor is labelled on its side 2701A and from my understanding its reference is CM156001 but it has since been replaced by CM156010 which is KEIHIN 2707So my question is ... Can i use a 2700A ?
